  • What is available at the park right now?
    Denton Hill State Park now offers overnight camping with 10 scenic RV sites situated along the 9-mile stream. Guests can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, and other downhill adventures. Polaris-certified UTV rentals featuring two and four-seat RZR XP 1000s are available, complete with GPS navigation and safety gear. 4 on-site and 1 off-site fully renovated cabins are also open, offering cozy, full-service lodging in the heart of the Pennsylvania Wilds.
  • When will the park be open for skiing?
    Denton Go is working closely with DCNR design Engineers to revitalize the ski lift and snowmaking infrastructure at the park. We anticipate some downhill ski operations in 2026-28 ski season. DCNR Forestry continues to groom the cross-country ski trails for winter xc ski opportunities along the Susquehanna Trail system.
  • What is your pet policy?
    We are a pet-friendly resort with no additional fees for pets. Guests are required to keep pets leashed at all times, and not leave them unattended. Proper curbing and cleaning up after pets are also mandatory.
  • What are the quiet hours?
    Quiet hours are observed from 10 PM to 7 AM to ensure a peaceful environment for all guests. During this time, generators, diesel engines, and bright exterior lighting are prohibited. We enforce a policy of no loud music, excessive noise, or disorderly conduct at any time to maintain a harmonious atmosphere within the campground.
  • Is alcohol permitted?
    Yes, alcohol consumption is permitted for guests aged 21 and older, limited to their specific site.
  • Is there a smoking policy?
    Smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas only, and it is prohibited in cabins, buildings, and restrooms to maintain cleanliness and comfort for all guests.
  • What are the check-in and check-out times?
    Check-in time for all RV campsites is 3 p.m., while check-out time on the day of departure is 5 p.m. Guests arriving before 3 p.m. may find that their site is not yet ready. If guests wish to extend their stay and enjoy the facilities after 5 p.m., they can register at the office for extended check-out, which allows them to utilize the facilities until 6 p.m. on the departure day for a nominal flat rate. However, guests must still vacate their site by 5 p.m.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Full refund if canceled 7 days prior to arrival. Less than 7 days may result in a partial refund. Less than 48 hour notice will result in no refund. Exceptions may be made at our sole discretion.
  • What RVs are allowed? Is there a manufactory age requirement?
    All RV and Camper Units must have a current registration and inspection for their State of Residence. There is no age requirement for RVs. All legally registered and inspected vehicle are permitted. Any RV that is not inspected will be asked to leave. Please bring the appropriate documents with you.
  • How far in advance should I make an RV site reservation?
    We recommend making any reservations as early as possible. For holiday weekends such as Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Lumbermans Week, Dark sky parties and Columbus Day, we suggest booking at least a few months in advance to secure your spot.
  • What do you consider an RV?
    Our definition of an RV (Recreational Vehicle) encompasses camping units designed for road travel equipped with factory-installed beds and at least two factory land-to-vehicle service connections, one of which must be electric. RVs must also contain an RVIA certification sticker. Examples include travel trailers, fifth wheels, RV motor homes, motor coaches, custom private buses, folding campers/pop-ups, truck (pickup) campers, and camper vans.
  • How many people per site? How many vehicles?
    There is a maximum of 6 people and two vehicles per campsite. All motorized vehicles speed limit of 5 MPH.
  • Where is Denton Go located?

  • What types of campsites are available?
    We offer both RV sites (with electric hookups) and primitive tent camping sites with fire rings and picnic tables.
  • Do RV sites have water and sewer?
    Currently, RV sites have electric only. We provide access to potable water.
  • Is there a bathhouse or restroom?
    Yes! We have clean restrooms, hot showers, available to all campers.
  • Can I bring my ATV or UTV?
    Absolutely—our resort offers direct access to ATV/UTV trails. Parking for trailers is available.
  • Is there Wi-Fi or cell service?
    Wi-Fi is available near the lodge and camp store. Cell service may vary depending on your provider.
  • Do I need a reservation?
    Reservations are strongly encouraged, especially on weekends and holidays.
  • Can we have campfires?
    Yes! Each site has a fire ring. Firewood is available for purchase—please don’t bring outside wood to prevent invasive pests.
  • Are there things to do nearby?
    Tons! Hiking, biking, stargazing at Cherry Springs, kayaking, hunting, and more. Plus, we're expanding onsite activities and events all season long.
  • Is there a camp store?
    Not as of 4/22/2025 but one is coming soon that will have... Snacks, drinks, firewood, basic supplies, Denton Go merch, and local trail info.
  • Are group bookings or events allowed?
    Yes, we welcome groups! Contact us directly for group site options or event rentals at the lodge.
  • What is your theft and loss policy?
    Campers are responsible for securing their personal property, including campers, vehicles, tents, or any other belongings. The campground, its owner, agents, and employees are not liable for theft or loss of any kind. Guests are encouraged to maintain insurance on their personal property for added protection.
  • Can I fly my UAV/drone?
    The operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones, is strictly prohibited on, from, or above the campground premises without specific written permission from the campground management. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and privacy of all guests.
  • What should I do in case of an emergency?
    In the event of an emergency, immediately contact park staff or call 911. To get ahold of park staff, call (814) 754-9013.
  • Are there any specific rules about campfires?
    Yes, campfires are only permitted in designated fire rings and grills. Please never leave your fire unattended and ensure it is completely extinguished before you leave. This helps prevent wildfires and ensures the safety of all park visitors.
  • What wildlife precautions should I take?
    Our park is home to diverse wildlife. Always keep a safe distance from animals and do not feed them. Store all food and scented items in airtight containers and keep them in your vehicle to avoid attracting wildlife to your campsite.
  • What should I do if I get lost in the park?
    If you become lost, please remain calm and stay in one place. Contact us at (814) 754-9013 for assistance. In the event of a serious injury, please call 911 immediately. It is advisable to carry tools such as a whistle and a compass, and to be well-acquainted with your planned route before setting out.
  • How can I report suspicious activity?
    Report any suspicious activity or individuals to park staff or call us at (814) 754-9013. Your vigilance helps maintain a safe environment for all visitors.
  • Is Electric Vehicle (EV) charging available?
    Unfortunately, electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities are not available at the campground at this time. However, we continuously explore opportunities to enhance our amenities and services based on guest feedback and technological advancements.
  • Is there a dress code?
    Although there is no formal dress code, we kindly ask our guests to avoid attire that could be deemed inappropriate or offensive. We respect your freedom of expression, but we also strive to maintain a welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere for all our visitors. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
